Dr. Tingle grew up in Shreveport, an alum of C.E. Byrd High School and of LSU Shreveport where he earned a Bachelor Science in cell and molecular biology. He studied at Northumbria University at Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom where he received a Diploma of Higher Education with Commendation in Medical Sciences. Following that, he entered St. George’s University Medical School in Grenada to complete his second year of medical school.
As part of his training, Dr. Tingle completed clerkships in various specialties, including internal medicine, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He served an internal medicine residency at LSU Health Shreveport from 2012 to 2015. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of Shreveport Medical Society, American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology.
Early in his career, Dr. Tingle practiced urgent care and served as a hospitalist, a physician who provides acute care to patients throughout their hospitalization. Dr. Tingle realized that he wanted to have long-term relationships with patients through an office practice where he could provide ongoing care throughout a patient’s life. Given his background in hospital care, he prefers to care for his own patients when they are in the hospital.
