Dr. Tingle grew up in Shreveport, an alumnus of C.E. Byrd High School and of LSU Shreveport where he earned a Bachelor Science in cell and molecular biology. He studied at Northumbria University at Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom, receiving a Diploma of Higher Education with Commendation in Medical Sciences. Following that degree, he entered St. George’s University Medical School in St. George’s, Grenada, graduating with his medical degree in 2012.
As part of his training Dr. Tingle completed clerkships in various specialties, including internal medicine, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Long Island college Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He also served an internal medicine residency at LSU Health Shreveport from 2012 to 2015. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the Shreveport Medical Society, American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology.
During his early career Dr. Tingle practiced in urgent care and later served as a hospitalist, a physician providing care to patients throughout their hospitalization. During this career, he realized that he wanted to have long-term relationships with patients through an office practice where he could provide ongoing care throughout a patient’s life. Given his background in hospital care, he prefers to care for his own patients when they are in the hospital.
